QUESTIONS

BELOW ARE SOME COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR RENTING​ AN EVENING GOWN FROM BESSETTE.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO TRY ON FORMAL DRESSES? 
Yes, you will need to make an appointment to view or try on our evening gowns. We only see one client at a time, so it is imperative to secure an appointment. To make an appointment at Bessette, you can submit your details into our online appointment booking form. Alternatively, you can send us a direct email to contact@bessette.com.au or phone us on 0448 004 386. ​

I LIVE INTERSTATE, CAN I STILL RENT A GOWN FROM BESSETTE? 
We appreciate that our clients may live outside of Queensland. Currently, we are exclusively meeting with clients from our Brisbane studio. If you live interstate and would like to arrange a bridal appointment we will endeavour to book an appointment that will work with your travel schedule. 

DO YOU CHARGE A FEE FOR EVENING GOWN APPOINTMENTS? 
Your first and second  appointments at Bessette are complimentary appointments.
If you require more than two appointments, there will be a $50.00 appointment fee settled at the time of securing your third appointment. Please note, if you are ready to confirm your dress booking during your third appointment, then the $50.00 appointment fee paid can be redeemed on your dress deposit. The same appointment fee applies if you require more than three appointments (before confirming your dress booking).  


DO I NEED TO BRING A PARENT OR GUARDIAN TO MY APPOINTMENT? 
If you (the client) are under the age of 18, you will need to bring a parent or guardian to your scheduled appointments. We have the right to turn away or reschedule appointments for school-aged clients who do not bring along a parent or guardian. 

WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF THE TA SOIRÉE EVENING RANGE? 
Our rental prices take into consideration the original retail price, accessibility, and the fun we want you to have on your special day. Pieces in our evening collection are currently priced between $300 to $500 to rent (our hire prices include GST & dry-cleaning).  

WHAT SIZES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE RENTAL COLLECTION? 
Our gowns accommodate women who normally wear an Australian dress size 06-18. Please note that each our gowns are  "one-off's" – meaning we do not stock multiple style quantities, and so dress-sizing does differ between each gown. 

CAN YOU GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY OF EACH GOWN? 
We can guarantee that we have carefully hand sourced only 100% authentic designer labels. 

I LOVE ONE OF THE DRESSES, BUT IT IS TOO BIG FOR ME TO RENT! 
If you fall in love with one of our gowns, but find it is too roomy to rent, then we can offer you the gown for a purchase price (if your desired gown is not already booked for another upcoming event). Please note, any further alterations you may need are a separate cost to the purchase price. 

WHEN SHOULD I CONFIRM MY EVENING DRESS WITH YOU? 
We suggest booking your rental gown as soon as possible . Furthermore, to assure we can offer you the gown of your choice on your event date, it is a good idea to book your rental gown as soon as you know it is your perfect dress. 

WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND ON THE RENTAL GOWN I HAVE SELECTED? 
If you have selected and booked a rental gown from Bessette, but find your heart lies with another choice from our store, then we will credit your paid deposit towards a new choice. Please be mindful that your second gown may not be available on your event. Additionally, if you change your mind on your rental gown and a deposit has been paid, we can cancel your booking, however; you will forfeit your booking deposit. 

HOW LONG CAN I RENT AN EVENING GOWN FROM BESSETTE? 
We offer a one week rental period. If more time is required, this is something that we can arrange with you at time of booking. 

WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THE GOWN WHEN I AM GOING TO WEAR IT? 
Each of our gowns are handed to you professionally cleaned and in a ready to wear condition. 

CAN I RETURN MY RENTAL GOWN VIA POST? 
Yes, we can arrange return postage for you at time of booking. Please note that additional postage fees will apply.  

WHAT IF I DAMAGE MY RENTAL DRESS? 
Don't panic! To rent a gown from Bessette we require you to pay a refundable security bond which will cover any damage(s) less dry-cleaning while in your care. Any damage(s) caused to the rental gown during  your rental period are your full responsibility and the security bond will be forfeited. 

DO I NEED TO DRY-CLEAN THE GOWN AFTER THE EVENT? 
No, we will take care of the dry-cleaning after the gown is returned to our Brisbane studio.
