WHEN SHOULD I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO VISIT YOUR STUDIO?
We suggest arranging an appointment as soon as you are ready. If one of our purchase pieces has taken your fancy online or on Instagram - we encourage you to pounce on the opportunity to secure the gown for your wedding - as we stock one-off, ready to wear pieces, in specific styles and size. We can never guarantee that we can acquire the same style gown in the same size twice. Please be mindful, appointment fees are non-refundable, so best to book in when you are sure you'd like to visit.
I LIVE INTERSTATE, CAN I STILL RENT OR PURCHASE A GOWN FROM BESSETTE?
Absolutely! We appreciate that some of our brides may live outside of Queensland. If you live interstate and would like to arrange an appointment to visit our Brisbane store, we will endeavour to book an appointment that will best suit your travel schedule. If you can't make it to Brisbane, our interstate brides can book a virtual appointment through our booking system, and additionally, our team can arrange any hire or purchase through email or over the phone.
I AM LOCATED OUTSIDE OF AUSTRALIA), CAN I STILL RENT OR PURCHASE A GOWN FROM BESSETTE?
International brides (based outside of Australia), we are only able to offer purchase items at this time. Any purchase requests are handled carefully via email, with the option to purchase via international bank transfer. All amounts quoted are in AUD. Any required shipping, duties, taxes, and bank fees are the responsibility of the buyer and are added to the purchase item amount. No purchase items are shipped until payment has been made and processed into our company bank account.

Our rental prices take into consideration the original retail price, accessibility, and the fun we want you to have on your special day. Pieces in our collection are currently priced between $250.00 to $600.00 AUD (including GST and dry-cleaning), with most gowns currently priced between $400.00 - 600.00 AUD including GST and dry-cleaning).
WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF YOUR PURCHASE GOWNS?
Pieces in the purchase collection are currently priced between $800.00 to $9,000.00 AUD (inc. GST). With that said, most gowns in this collection range between $2,000.00 - $5,000.00.

Our gowns will accommodate brides who normally wear a standard Australian dress size 0 -22. Please note that each our gowns are "one-off's" – meaning the sizing will differ for each gown.
CAN YOU GUARANTEE THE AUTHENTICITY OF EACH GOWN?
We can guarantee that we have carefully hand sourced only 100% authentic designer bridal labels.
I LOVE ONE OF YOUR DRESSES, BUT IT IS TOO BIG FOR ME TO RENT!
If you fall in love with one of our gowns, but find it is too roomy to rent, then we can offer you the gown for a purchase price (if your desired gown is not already booked for another wedding). Please note, any further alterations are a separate cost to the purchase price.
WHEN SHOULD I CONFIRM MY WEDDING DRESS WITH YOU?
As soon as you're ready. It's a good idea to book your rental or purchase gown as soon as you know it is your perfect dress. In particular when it comes to our rental collection, it's better to book ahead of time, as we need to confirm the gown isn't already booked in for/during your wedding date. If you are falling in love with one of our purchase gowns, we operate as "off the rack", and we can't place garments on "hold" while you think about it, or take a holding deposit – if she's your dress, we encourage you to it all processed (and secured off the rack) for you.
WHAT IF I CHANGE MY MIND ON THE RENTAL GOWN I HAVE SELECTED?
If you have selected and booked a rental gown from Bessette, but find your heart lies with another choice from our store, then we will credit your paid deposit towards a new choice. Please be mindful that your second gown may not be available on your wedding date. Additionally, if you change your mind on your rental gown and a deposit has been paid, we can cancel your booking, however; you will forfeit your booking deposit.
HOW LONG CAN I RENT A BRIDAL GOWN FROM BESSETTE?
We offer a one week rental period. If more time is required, this is something that we can arrange with you at time of booking.
WHAT IS THE CONDITION OF THE GOWN WHEN I AM GOING TO WEAR IT?
Each of our gowns are handed to you professionally cleaned and in a ready to wear condition.
CAN I RETURN MY RENTAL GOWN OR VEIL VIA POST?
Yes, we can arrange return postage for you at time of booking. Please note that postage fees will apply.
WHAT IF I DAMAGE MY RENTAL DRESS OR VEIL?
Don't panic! To rent a gown from Bessette we require you to pay a refundable security bond which will cover any damage(s) less dry-cleaning while in your care.
Any damage(s) caused to the rental gown during your rental period are your full responsibility and the security bond will be forfeited.
